Lenjeri

Gateway to Koruldi Lakes, steeped in Svan heritage

Lenjeri

Lenjeri is a quiet village just west of Mestia, nestled in Georgia's rugged Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. It serves as the starting point for the scenic Koruldi Lakes trail, drawing trekkers through alpine meadows beneath Ushba's twin peaks. The village is dotted with ancient Svan defensive towers—symbols of a unique medieval culture that resisted invasions and preserved its language and traditions. These stone sentinels, some centuries old, stand alongside family homes, offering an authentic glimpse into Svan life. Walking among them, you feel the weight of history and the pulse of the Caucasus.
