Ninoskhevi Waterfall

Where the forest spills its silver

Ninoskhevi Waterfall

Ninoskhevi Waterfall is a 20-meter vertical plunge hidden deep within Lagodekhi Protected Areas, Georgia's oldest nature reserve established in 1912. The trail follows the Ninoskhevi River through old-growth beech and hornbeam forest, crossing the stream on wooden footbridges before the canopy opens to reveal the cascade tumbling over moss-covered limestone. Named for a local saint, the falls feel discovered rather than developed—no railings, no crowds, just the cold spray and the sound of water that has carved this gorge for millennia. It rewards those who walk the 8-kilometer round trip with one of Kakheti's most intimate wild places.
