Kintrishi National Park

Ancient groves and wild gorge trails

Kintrishi National Park

Kintrishi National Park in Adjara protects some of the last intact yew-boxwood forests in the Lesser Caucasus, a relic of ancient Colchic wilderness. The park’s heart is the dramatic Kintrishi Gorge, carved by the rushing river and wrapped in dense, misty foliage. Medieval stone bridges, including remnants from the old trade routes, still span the waters, whispering of centuries-old passage. This untouched landscape offers rare biodiversity and profound tranquility, making it a vital sanctuary for nature lovers and those seeking Georgia’s wilder soul.
